i was recently given an offer to try this therapy. however, I was told if someone has high blood pressure they can not go into the chamber. Can you please dive into the reason someone with HBP is not a good candidate for this therapy?
Oxygen is not the answer… hydrogen-oxygen is the only thing that 100% works
Question…..for bladder and colon cancer, wouldn't this work to halt the spread of cancer, and actually reverse it?

this helps for back pain?
I heard this works for a lot of people with long covid, I tried about eight sessions along with two sessions of red light therapy and it really didn't do anything for me unfortunately. I'm still dealing with slight fatigue on some days, "air hunger" (breathing problems), and for the most part those are my two lasting symptoms still in one year later.
I was really hoping it would treat my long covid because I know for a fact it does for a lot of other people, I'm not sure if maybe if it's because I'm already a 1-year into my long covid and I only have a couple of symptoms left and they're not as debilitating, not sure though.
Thank you Dr. ILD with fibrosis can they use HBOT ?

If u got cancer don’t use this ur feeding the cancer
Thank you. I was wondering because of g6pd
Most research states it is beneficial. Notwithstanding I have some reservations given that oxygen toxicity is a thing, and 90 minutes sounds like a long time not to develop said toxicity, esp under pressure. I mean tissues would benefit most likely from more oxygenation, but all the stress would be on the lungs and I'm a bit skeptical of those studies saying that nah lung function actually improves.
Also just pointing out that long covid would be every hbot center's number one patient group monetarily.
Edit: see eg Oxygen Toxicity and Side Effects of HBOT, 2024. Skip the abstract, all the relevant info is only in the text
Imo some parallels with smoking might be present, acute relief but long term damage. Also if patients keep coming back for more, that's kind of an indication.
Of concern I could not find any long term studies with more than 3 months of treatment.
There are effects manifesting much earlier.
"Progressive myopic changes are a known side effect of repetitive treatments with HBOT.59 The rate of this change has been reported in the literature to be *0.25 diopter per week and progressive throughout the course of ongoing treatment.60 Myopia has been reported in 25–100% of patients undergoing HBOT after several weeks at pressures of 2.0 ATA and greater."
so it clearly isn't harmless.

So it is a NO for a cancerous brain tumor??
Can people with seizure go into hyperbaric chamber?
Has anyone tried this treatment for cluster headaches?
My wife's oncologists completely disconnected when my wife elected not to do chemo, as there is no other protocols that the medical network will adopt to offer; not even follow up blood tests or other testing! I just shook my head. I'm attempting to convince her to switch networks to mine because my medical network has a HBO Therapy, but she has been with her network for many years and is reluctant to give it up.
Dr Paul H says he has found that hyperbaric helped the results. I don’t plan on getting chemo or radiation so I would love to hear how it can affect a cancer cell with out treatment. I’m not asking if it heals but how it affects
Welp, now what? My dr wants me in one in case I do have cancer. I have soaring mold levels
What about if you have a leaky heart valve?
Recently I have come across a device that allows you to increase the oxygen in your drinking water (20-35ppm of oxygen). It seems easy and you can do it at home, whenever you need it. If the idea is to get more oxygen into your body, then this will help, and you don't need to worry about the pressure and having a technician. I have seen evidence of oxygen increase in as fast as 30 second after drinking.
If i did a week 2-3 hrs a day, should i feel any changes because i feel nothing has..
I am currently doing Hyperbaric for my traumatic brain injury. There seems to be a difference on people saying how many sessions I should do as well as what atmosphere pressure and how long I should be at the pressure. Can you please clarify?

what cant you bring into a soft chamber?
Can you take HBOT in tumor recurrence case? My mom had brain tumor stage 2, she went for surgery and radiation. Now she has some damaged tissues/edema in brain due to either necrosis or recurrence. Some chances of recurrence. Will this therapy work? Or doesn’t the oxygen help in growing tumor cells?
Hi Doctor,
My mom is currently suffering from radiation necrosis. She had her brain tumor excision in November 2023, and radiations (tomotherapy) taken in Dec-Jan. But since January ending, she got symptomatic with getting reduced control of her right hand. Also, she had edema because of this.
MRI reports suggest of radiation necrosis but there is also a possibility of tumor recurrence?
Everytime we try to taper steroids, the edema increases. She had a seizure in the month of May because of the same reason.
Do you recommend her taking this treatment?
Im 32 years old, am on a ventilator through a trach, have a slew of neurological conditions, have a feeding tube, neurogenic bladder, neuromuscular weakness, and many other conditions. My Chiropractor has a Mild Hyperbaric Chamber, specifically an OxyAir 32 model, and I have a VOCSN ventilator which is compatible with mild hyperbaric chamber therapy. Well I have a lot of conditions and I wanted to see if I could benefit from a few sessions in the Hyperbaric chamber, but due to my medical conditions, and the seizures I had a few months ago, my chiropractor refuses to put me in the Hyperbaric Chamber. I KID YOU NOT! He won't put me in there. He's denied me access. And I think it's a load of garbage, because I have a great mental capacity, I'm not going to try to get out of the chamber when it's at full pressure. I know the pressure cannot be reduced from 40 KPA all of the sudden, and I would just lie in there, quietly for the hour and 15 minutes patients are in there, but the guy refuses to put me in. I told them I would be safe in there, but he said "NO!" So that's not happenin. Which I think it not right! You know, even my Primary Care Physician thinks and told the Chiropractor that I could benefit. And the Chiropractor told me to consult with him, but when I did, the chiropractor decided to deny me access. So I'm switching Chiropractors!
Probably should've had this when I had the carbon monoxide poisoning, but of course didn't!
I have had shortness of breath for the past 8 months. I’ve had all the heart, lung, asthma, and allergy testing done. No doctor can figure out what is causing it. Would this be something that’s a danger to me or could it be beneficial?
his take on "long COVID" doesn't inspire trust
Any help for Telangiectasia
Please clarify whether the inability to equalize the ears applies to a 1.3 atmosphere soft hyperbaric chamber or if you apply the hard stop to higher atmospheres or hard chambers. My mom has a skull tumor that was radiated 4 months ago and in the break down has caused a deep fluid build up behind her ear as the body removes the dissonant cells little by little. There is no way for her to clear it by holding her nose. She has been in a soft chamber 3 times for 30 mins maximum at 1.3 and she does very well. She experiences crackling in the fluid behind the ear while she enjoys because it feels as though it could release, but she can’t control that herself. What’s your feedback? We’ve consulted doctors and the clinic owners and she was cleared. I’m interested in further opinion.
