Hi, healthcare professional here and former alcoholic. There's a difference between DT and regular tremors. You really shouldn't be quitting cold turkey, as it's one of the few that can end an otherwise healthy person.

Whoosh! I drink, it's definitely gotten out of hand before, but i take therapy for it now. I still do but it's at more appropriate times now I guess you could put it? So not nearly as often or as much. Having been a bar tender and having met some incredibly severe alcoholics, I never knew it did this to you trying to get sober. In all honesty, I've never seen someone with bad alcoholism get better, I've only seen them die. Some were close friends. Congrats to you girl, people love you, keep it up!

Long long time ago like 13 years I detoxed from alcohol benzos opiates at the same time. And I guess technically weed and cocaine and some other things. Shit was tough but def felt a lot better for the rest of my life after lol

I drank heavy for 13 years and I just quit without shaking or anything.
I was drinking about 8-15 beers a day.
Edit:sober 2 years now
14 years sober? i think, stopped counting.
I got to talking with a guy who was 3 months in and he said he was looking forward to no temptation when he heard how far in i was. I told him me too.
He really appreciated the honesty
Keep going girl. These hard days WILLsoon be forgotten and replaced with fun and happiness
How much do you have to drink to end up like this? I've seen all kinds of drinkers but never anything like this
I was an alcoholic for over 25 years it is amazing for anyone to even consider getting clean and staying that way you are amazing keep moving forward!

I've been completely sober for 3 months, after 25 years of daily drinking, and then 5 years off and on.
People say every day gets easier, but some days you just breeze through, and then the next day is a real struggle.
All we can do is fight through today, and hope that tomorrow is one of the easier ones.
Heavy – one zibb and she would feel ok. That tempting hard. Hope she stay strong.

I hope she’s getting a medical detox, alcohol detox is very dangerous to do otherwise..
