I like the speed of your talking! Everyone should follow this example
I started a low dose of 5mg to help with insomnia and clonazepam withdrawal. The low dose makes my sleep reallt good and it helps with the withdrawal of clonazepam as well.
Can mirtazapine cause tinnitus?
Iv been taking mitazapine for ten years, im am now terrified reading this. I just to want to try more natural remedies. Utttowwww
I took Mirtazapine for 2 years felt great! Then I asked my doctor how I should Quit the medication!! This was in January 2019. The doctor told me just to quit cold turkey….. I can not in words describe the pain and horror I have been through for the last 5 years… I was immediately hospitalized at a mental hospital due to zero sleep and Psycosis, with debilitating Brain zaps and extreme headaces. Im barley functioning right now 5 yeras later and still have lots of healing to do before I can get back to a normal life. It is no exaggeration that this medication has ruined my life… Please just stay away from this horrible drug..
I found when stopping the medication, alternating doses helps. For example, 15mg one day, 7.5 the other. Then dropping down to 7.5mg. I got off of it in about 3 weeks.
Medication prescribers should be required by law to tell patients how horrible getting off the med can be first.
Gaining weight and have edema in ankle.
So when I got depression out of the blue, I was really bad and I couldn’t sleep and the save my life like when I went on it not only did I sleep, but I never had a panic attack not even one or any depression in over 25+ years that I’ve been on it but now I heard from a new doctor as I’m getting older that she never would’ve had me on it this long and she had no idea why other doctors allowed me to stay on it this longis there any help in getting off of it? I am doing 10% a month every Friday I take 7.5 mg and every Tuesday I take 7.5 I’ve been taking 15 mg for 25 years.
this is excellemt
Is it normal to have very pained, dry and burning lips and mouth? I can’t figure out why I have it and it only started after taking mirtazapine
Hi, I've been taking the maximum dose of Mirtzazepine for over a year and before that, 30mg for 6/7 years. I've just seen a psychiatrist for the first time who suggested coming off it due to the nightmares I was having. I asked her if it would be tapered which she confirmed, but I've just found out my dose is going to be reduced to 15mg for two weeks and then nothing. I've very worried that 2 weeks to taper off may not be safe. I have a benign brain tumor that causes tonic clonic generalised seizures that have been witnessed to as seriel seizures twice, and I'm worried that such a fast withdrawal may put me in danger of having a seizure. I live alone. Do you have any advice for me?
I was prescribed this drug & I started getting dizzy spells. Then I threw them in the bin.
I was prescribed mirtazapine 15mg and alprazolam 0.5mg, im 27 f, bro the next day was hell. I felt upside down and as though i was drugged. Three days later, im still out of balance.
I like this medicine MUCH better at the lower doses! The sedative effects don’t seem any different to me at lower or higher doses. But the big appetite & feelings of laziness isn’t as hard to fight at the lower dose.
For me this is the reason i can't stop taking it. I want to stop because i'm too tired, all day basically. If i just stop, i don't sleep at all. If i try to taper out, i get even more tired.
I’m on Mirtazipine 22.5 along with 25 mg Zoloft. This is the best medication I’ve ever taken for my depression and anxiety the downside is the weight gain. I don’t want to stop Mirtazipine because it work’s amazing but the weight gain sucks.
No, no the claim that it is more sedative in lower doses is debunked years ago. Why people get less sedated with higher doses are due to the fact that they have started at a low dose and then when they get a higher dose they have developed tolerance for the sedative effect. Why does my scalp has a weird sensation the next morning when I wake up. Through out the day it goes away. I take it for sleep.
It’d be so great to have everyone’s methylation gene variants attached to their comments ( COMT , MAOA , MTHFR )
I have a slow MAOA and fast COMT and trying to find the perfect sleep med . mirtazipine is the best I’ve found but can’t stay on it because I can’t stand the weight gain
Yup . Dose dependent
I think Mirtazapine has made my dogs kidney disease worse. Does anyone know if this could be ?
7.5mg is great for sleep problem is its moved my sleep into the day. i have terrible sleep patterns but i think the world is wrong.
If you want to be morbidly obese take it. High cholesterol, should be banned. It’s the same thing as Mianserin which was pulled off the market.
why would i take something thats gonna make me more depressed im on the edge as is i dont wanna risk making it worse
Hi, is it possible to take CBD and mirtazapine "together"? Not at the same time though.
I notice that it states that the sedating effect is prominent only in the first few weeks of therapy. " There are some VERY serious side effects listed for this medication.
People please do not take these medications. I was on mirtazapine amitriptyline methadone. You could be naturally skinny and all of a sudden two years later you’ve gained so much weight and you’re eating so much chocolate and you’re constantly having to go to the dentist constantly brushing your teeth constantly spending loads of money on making your teeth is good, but the worst worst side effects were randomly losing my hair. I had luscious thick, beautiful black hair and then all of a sudden my hair was just coming out when I was brushing it gently and then my hair follicles by the slightest pressure would pluck out so if I was gently combing my hair that pressure would pluck hair out And the density of my hair became so thin, you could see my scalp. I’ve stopped taking them. I quit cold turkey and I would never take them again, especially Murtaza pain and amitriptyline. They are absolutely evil and yes I suffer from panic attacks I was a drug addict. I’m a transgender woman I’m also on hormones. I had my sexual reassignment surgery when I was 17 I’m 31 now so a multitude of side-effects can happen when you take these medications, so I’m really really begging you people if you suffer from panic attacks which I did and my panic attack started because I got my face cast in mould for an art project and I couldn’t breathe, and it sent me Into a serious panic attack that felt I was being buried alive, and then I would be in bed at night and if I would take nasal spray I would feel like I’m drowning even though I can breathe it’s a rational fear and yes, the pain can help with panic attacks but people being on this for a prolonged amount of time causes severe side-effects. Please be warned when you go to the doctors office I’m from Londonthey don’t really go into much about the side-effects and America how disgusting it is with Dr shopping. They obviously want you to be pumped for the medication so that you can pay them.
I took 15mg by mistake this morning
I’m thinking maybe Mirtazapine helped me more at 30mg than now at 45mg- it does help my mental issues VERY much but makes me restless with endless ‘thought loops’- I also seem to pick more at my skin

90 year olds shouldn't be thriving in the first place.
At 15mg its no longer sedative to me. 7.5mg and its even a good sleeping aid for me. Much better than 15mg zopiclone or how its spelled.
