The anti-alcohol movement seems to be in vogue these days. I think the kind of moderate consumption Attia is talking about here is a better approach for most non-addicts who enjoy alcohol. If you eat well, exercise, and have healthy relationships, and can tolerate alcohol, I don't think there's a need to be dogmatic about it.
Many people consume beer as legit liquid nourishment, not for 'partying', especially when doing physically-laborious work, such as landscape work. Read up on the Egyptions. Read up on silica nutrition and beer. My favorite balanced beer is Sierra Nevada Pale Ale 5.6%, for lighter beers The Fall Oh Yeah 4.0%, Enegren 4.8% and 5.0%. Healthy for me, in moderation, not for 'partying',… just productive living. I usually drink beer during some workdays during the day, as the liquid refreshment, along with some water,… and some meat and/or eggs usually also during the day,… sometimes some veggies and fruit.
Take some NAC or Tudca and drink four to five drinks one day a week Works perfect
Alcohol is rubbish to be honest. I don't understand how Mr. Attia justifies consuming 7 glasses/weekly, as someone who prioritises healthspan.
Thank you ❤
What I can’t understand is all of these studies that say light alcohol to even moderate alcohol consumption increases your lifespan. Can anyone explain what I might be missing?
Whats the point of even drinking if you drink so little you can't even tell you have drank? 1-2 beers? I would have to shot gun to tell I even drank alcohol…If you like the taste might as well just drink NA beers or wine!
just dont.
This is pretty much all anyone needs to know about alcohol consumption.
I only drink when I travel which is twice a year … I don’t really drink I sip cause I know I’m poisoning myself
Yeah someone handed me a bud light and I drank it spit it out and shot the rest of the case with 5.56. I then grabbed a real beer and drank it. It was worth it.
It’s a bit naive but expected a guide to drink like a college student on a night out without having a hangover
He drinks but he worries about the sugar content of apples and mangoes!
Give us degens (who occasionally binge) – a supplement protocol please.
For somebody who's all about longevity Peter is really hell-bent on encouraging alcohol consumption. I find it rather nonsensical knowing what we know about the substance.
Peter would be the life and soul of the party in a pub here in Ireland.
Do you want another drink Peter?
Oh no, it’s gone half ten and I’ve already had my two drink limit and I need to get up for my zone 2 cardio in the morning.
Christ put a bullet in me.
What exactly happens after 2 drinks? Why is they the cap?
This is preaching moderation for a highly addictive substance/ drug/ poison. I tried following these "rules for over 40 years" before finally admitting that it's just easier to quit and be done. Either you believe that alcohol is bad for you or you don't. if you do, there's no reason to imbibe – ever. End of story.
this guys eye contact is fucking terrifying
Hey at the end of the day, you know what's cooler than a polar bear wearing sunglasses? Choosing not to drink alcohol! Seriously though, skipping the booze has some pretty awesome perks. You'll wake up feeling fresh as a daisy, no hangover required. Plus, think about all the embarrassing dance moves you'll avoid at parties! And who needs blurry memories when you can create unforgettable moments with a clear head? So, let's raise a glass of sparkling water to being the life of the party without the alcohol-induced drama. Cheers to a hangover-free, money-saving, dance floor dominating you! 🥂🕺
This is sensible advice, and even pretty close to how I live my life now (no drinks Su-Thu, typically 1-3 drinks Friday and/or Saturday, with the exception of hosting guests, vacation, holidays, etc.), but I think the reason people react negatively to it is the delivery…
Are you kidding me?you shouldn’t drink alcohol whatsoever period😤It’s the base of the base.
SITE THIS DATA PLEASE
Most people dont't even think about alcohol. I find that most interesting.
I have one drink a month. Maybe. Depends if anyone has invited me out that month or not…

0 alcohol is a great goal
Im 6 weeks with no alcohol. I sleep better and working out more. 00 benefits, of drinking alcohol.
When did living become so complicated? Just have a drink or six whenever you feel like it. If it becomes a problem, reel it in or seek help.
I use to drink 7 a night every night
Graveyards are full of drinkers ..and non drinkers.
Drinking beer and wine with alcohol can increase total blood anti oxidant capacity, moderate beer intake increases sperm health. Abstainers usually die sooner than moderate drinkers.
How much heroin per day? I mean how much is not too much?
Great night out but rancid sleep… i went to bed at 10.30. Lol, wtf. Who is this dude with the giant stick up his ass.
The fact that “drink” is used instead of actual quantities is already a sign of weak arguments. 2 beers, 2 glasses of wine or 2 whiskeys are vastly different amounts of alcohol….
Kinda surprised to hear Attia say that he'll consume as much as 6 drinks a week and he's ok with that. According to Andrew Huberman there really isn't any minimum safe quality to ingest.
