If you get really bad hangovers mean god loves you. It’s a sing not to drink as achol is a devil’s drink
I quit 3 days ago after getting drunk and blowing my whole check on Amazon and more alcohol
I'll be 2 years sober in September. For me the worst part of the hang over was the restlessness. Being too tired to sleep, unable to get comfortable, feeling complete exhaustion but wanting to get outside and do some form or exercise to make sure I'd be tired enough to sleep that night (which I knew that night's sleep would be horrible too). I'd put a show on TV in the background and it'd be too loud, I'd turn it down and it'd be too soft. I'd roll over and my head would hurt, I'd try another position and couldn't find any peace.
Im trying to quit, im tired of drinking
I'm the same way exactly
the same! I can't even hold down liquids
How do you work hungover?
Just saw this vid now as I’m having a bad hangover, threw up like 3 times in the span of a few hours, I’m sitting on the toilet and now I wanna quit alcohol again, I woke up at like 4 am to puke then tried resting again only to start dry heaving as soon as I slightly squished my stomach and grazed my throat with my arm, definitely gonna cut down on drinking today

Great videos! I stumbled (no pun intended) across your video when watching videos of other people doing "Dry January". Very entertaining, and glad to hear your wife did it too. I've been doing it every year; forever. Started doing it for lent and then usually do January, and sometimes through March/April. Congrats!
I love this !! That’s one of the main reasons I stopped drinking. My hangovers were debilitating!! Felt like I was straight up going to the other side . Wasted 1-2 days just feeling like

absolute shit. I can say it’s a relief not to wake up feeling like that anymore
Not to mention slight depression from low serotonin levels. Anyone who feels these type of hangovers just quit it will only get worse.
These didn’t happen till late 30s. Its pure Hell & lasts about 2 to 3 days from 1 day of drinking
I have decided to just leave alcohol alone. I experience severe anxiety, racing thoughts & fear. The Hangxiety
this is like a year late but how long was your hangover and did your stomach and head keep hurting days later ?
Went 8 months without drinking. Had a wine on Boxing Day then 2 glasses yesterday. I have a headache today. I had terrible anxiety as well. I’ll make drinking a serious once off occurrence.
Hangovers totally suck. It is the body in upheaval and trying to rid itself of the poison. Thank you for your awesome insights!
6 days of me and no alcohol. God, I already feel a ton better, Not really because I had to but, it was more of a choice, I knew I was getting some health issues and last weekend, I had it. I got a little pressure from someone this week who said "dont stop drinking yet", and this comes from a guy who drinks 15-20 beers a day. I just said F off.
My hangovers were so bad I gave up drinking 100%…I went thru 2 weeks of alcohol withdrawals>>> it was hell !!!…
Good that you do this hahah Lucky that alchool free beer is a little good now a days.
Good on you man and thanks for the honesty. This was a nice reminder to not "reward" myself with a night of drinking sometime in the future.
such a nice reminder and appreciate your candor and directness! On this!
Day 10. Alcohol was becoming a cruel master as opposed to the good servant. I also have to lose 10 kgs! Added bonus is NOT waking up feeling like shit.
I've had some real grumpy cravings. But then again, I've never woken up wishing I'd had 3 pints, half a bottle of red and a G&T.
I do not recommend drinking to get rid of a hangover. I became a full 24 hour a day 7 day a week alcohol requiring detox to get sober using the hair of the dog method. A hangover is withdrawal and its natures way of keeping you in check with alcohol.
Even the reminder of how a hangover feels gave me slight anxiety. I’m almost a month without alcohol and I’m so relieved.
I always wake up in a panic during a bad hangover Horrible feeling
I think you have a calling that you're just tapping into. You have so much to offer. If you want to dig into your calling further, check out Dr. Jordan B. Peterson, clinical psychologist; he's on YouTube. Sober Leon too on YouTube.
Thanks for sharing your journey. My experience is very similar. I'm 1130 days sober today and giving up booze has been the best decision of my adult life. Its also one of the toughest decisions but the benefits massively outweigh any positives drinking has to offer. Sobriety delivers everything booze promises
Thanks. You're the first upbeat inspiration about quitting grog. I can relate to the hot sticky sweaty Australian summer nights. Waking up in the middle of the night feeling like hell and not even being able to sleep it off due to insomnia that seems to last 3 nights after. The hangover effect is stretching out for days as well as I get older.
The GERD is so bad its a large bottle of liquid antacid a week as well as prescription medication.
The main thing is, if my daughter barfed all over my floors, she'd get a thick ear being 45 and probably drunk.
Cheers and thanks for the laugh.
HAHAHA your daughter seems to have more wisdom than most adults I know.
I did feel like going out for a beer last night after an incredibly long hot week but had a cup of tea instead. Next day – found youd posted this, so so glad i didnt! Dehydration is the LAST thing i want right now. The restlessness too, I remember that like it was yesterday, that feeling alone is enough for me to not want to drink again. Just watching this made me feel hungover for you and yeah, im good, cheers mate!
You drink too much! Moderation for everything is key to life
Great video and thank you for the reminder!
Is your yt name like the sad life or the S A H D
Booze is the worst, if I had to do it all over again I'd just stick with weed.
“I'm scared that if I stop all at once, the cumulative hangover will literally kill me.” -Archer Sterling
Was the first line I thought of seeing the title.
As someone who is not addicted to drinking but certainly addicted to other destructive vices, the willpower is difficult. But if you can manage, to say, one event at a time: "No, not this time." Eventually the "Not this time." Becomes the habit and the "I'll have one." becomes the exception.
Bit by bit and one struggle at a time, anything can be done. Stay strong people.
My hangovers are at least two day long. With two kids, it’s not worth the hassle.
Video quality is getting better and better, great! Is it Fioboc's cooling T-shirt?
Right on! Have you or would you consider Non-Alcoholic beverages? Tons of Beers to choose from, I have heard about non-alcoholic hard liquor. Your thoughts?
Great video.
On Friday I'll be 8 months sober. Never say never but I don't plan on going back to alcohol.
Wishing you all the best for your personal journey
Update: the house still sold! lol
It feels good to feel good again my friends!! I have NOT been hungover since this video. Thank you for all the support. YOU have actually helped ME make better choices, so thank you. If you missed my 30 Day Stop Drinking video check that out here: https://youtu.be/VctVi8Sm0dQ
