I never get hangovers. Only 22 everyone tells me you'll feel it when your older. We take other drugs and drink water and eat. When we go out the alcohol isn't really the main ingredient tho

There are no cures for hangovers

I knew a guy who took over a busy cocktail bar that was famous for having drunken bar staff getting wrecked on shift. The first thing he did was buy five bottles of decent spirits with his own money and put them on the bar. If staff wanted to drink, it was a pound a shot with free mixers.

If it was quiet and you were in the industry, but also regular, you might get to drink from these "disco bottles". As there were 28 shots in each bottle they always made a bit of profit after replacing each bottle.

Once he had £100 profit he kept that as his repayment of the initial purchase and the disco bottles paid for themselves. Every week there would be enough left over to have a decent lock in and save up for staff nights out.

The end result was that alcohol theft dropped to zero overnight, the bar was always busy with bartenders on their nights off etc, which meant it was the only bar guaranteed to be busy every night in a town with very seasonal night life.

Takings went up so much that the owner was eventually able to buy two other bars and input the same system. He started a profit share system based on hours worked each week. Some of the most famous bartenders from the UK in the last decade worked in those bars. Some own their own businesses now. Wild how such a small idea changed people's lives.
