The decade golf
Great questions and chat
"The pin is the biggest distraction in golf.". This is profound and unusual truth. Super counterintuitive but a good think!
"Didn't get mad". Pretty much says it all in terms of the emotional response to golf shot outcomes.
If I understand golf stats…. from Jack Nicklaus time to present the driving distance for men has not changed…what has changed is equipment, golf balls, etc. The average distance of men off the tee has not changed in nearly 30 plus years. The professionals have gotten a lot better, however, the average golfer is still average ( with no discernable difference). Golf has it challenges: time- 5 hr round, money- green fees, equipment- clubs, golf balls, etc). Mandating a golf ball change is stupid. The average male golfer does not hit over 200 yrds off the tee, takes 5 hrs to play and now your going to make them hit more shots that fly shorter which means they have to hit it many more times during the round, which by default makes every hole longer. The golf ball mandate is stupid. Enjoyed your interaction w Scott, very informative.
Bifurcation is not the answer, even though pros and amateurs play almost entirely different games. The solution is better and tougher course design, where hazards are hazards where strokes and/or distance will almost certainly be lost. Too many course are now set up to suit bomb-and-gouge play because the uninformed spectator gets excited by it. Too few bunkers challenge the pros at all – many deliberately seek bunkers out as the easy leave! This where the game has lost direction: it's not making things hard enough.
Oh man, that misfortune in Korea. But the fact you can laugh it off now in this video… respect ✊🏿
One of my favorite feelings in golf is knowing I can't reach trouble and aiming right at it
if we're being honest the game is already bifurcated. Pros are playing golf balls that aren't even released to the public. They get equipment that is out before the norms get it. They are in a constant state of having the most updated equipment that ends up being the next years model and this is in their FAVOR. Having the best players in the world play equipment that is harder for them is not the worst thing. Baseball players have to go to wood when they go pro. Basketball players have a further back 3 point line and a different shot clock. This is not a crazy idea
I have watched many Scott fawcett videos and this by far this is the most interesting and informative at the same time. In fact, I got so juiced watching this that i went ahead and purchased DECADE on the spot. Let's see what i can shoot by my 50th birthday coming up on sept 2nd of this year. Well done Ben and Scott!
Smile more you’re a handsome dude
Military dad…Buddhist mom. There you go folks. You're welcome.
North Texas wintertime golf right there.
Top level content Ben!
Wow. I would not want to argue with brad about putting. I think Scott undervalues short putts. Great content, though. Love his viewpoints.
I've never a course so brown in my life lol
Agreed, non-discussion, let it be and enjoy the spectacle
Grow the rough, make the pros find their own golf balls, and enforce the three minute rule. No more spotters. Make the rough more of a penalty and put the bigger possibility of losing a ball and the penalty strokes that go with it in the player’s head when teeing off.
Great video
This is a brilliant format
im watchin any scott fawcet video
🤟🏻 Agreed 💯
Bifurcation is stupid. If they want to make it harder for the pros, grow the rough longer/thicker and make the greens harder/faster on tournament weeks. Just look at Bay Hill – it's always among the hardest tournaments on tour and that's because they groom the course to make it challenging.
Hole 6… Did anyone else notice the green design?
Can I book a lesson on zoom I don’t have instagram but I can give u sum else like discord or sum
Are you not with good good anymore?
Great video man
10k views 46 comments none from Ben 😂wtf is going on here get your ish together Ben
I hit it far and most courses don’t have severe rough so if you can just bomb it out there you’re usually ok and as you said most fairways are pretty big.
Trees are the only time you really have to find fairways it seems.
This video is a ball of knowledge
Ben, thanks. Very insightful vlog. May be trying Decade this year.
Scott is dead on about putting speed. Faxon is trying to maximize his new career as a putting guru. Decade works. My swing was in shambles for a while but using decade helped me stay in the 70’s as a club golfer.
Is it just me or doe's Ben look and sound like Kyle Reese from the original Terminator movie? I bet you get that a lot Ben? lol
Scott Fawcett is a genius. Decade app worth every penny to be a subscriber.
Good Good Championship competition.
Amazing interview with a very smart guy 🤙🏻 thanks for this one man!
