Im confused how you "missed your train" at Tokyo Station to Shinjuku. The Narita Express keeps going to Shinjuku, so you could have just stayed on it. Or all of the local trains from Tokyo to Shinjuku run every few mins and aren't reserved so there is no one train you can miss….just wait for the next one 3 minutes later lol.
