I had a BAD experience with NCL still trying to get m y money back.all due to me I don't want anything that doesn't belong to me.and still haven't gotten one of my luggage back yet been a month
Wait a minute. The title of your video is NEVER BOOK A NORWEGIAN CRUISE (in caps) yet you say that you will do it again yourself. That sounds like the definition of click bait. Thanks for letting me know so I’ll never watch another of your videos again.
We have sailed with NCL exclusively for over 30 years, always with travel insurance. Never a complaint for service, food, etc. We love NCL!
You should take out travel insurance as soon as you book your cruise or holiday. It doesn't just cover the actual travel. It is a must!
How a sudden death be related to the quality of services on a NCL? All other negative stories sound absurdic…I like every thing about Escape to Mediterranean.
I planned to book with NCL next, but after seeing this, I will not be doing so!!!! Poor customer satisfaction. Big turn off!
Sounds like a bitch fest against NCL! Drama as usual!
My friend and I became widows in the same year. We made it a point to go on a cruise once a year. Our first cruise was on the NCL PEARL to Alaska. Had a wonderful time with no complaints. We went on 6 more NCL cruises. The next 3 were acceptable but definitely not like the PEARL. We were on the EPIC twice but decided to book smaller ships. Over time 80 percent of the staff were not friendly. Used to be if you passed any staff member they would say good morning, etc. The last trip we sailed it seemed that no one was happy at all….staff or passengers. 1 particular ship was our favorite and that was the JEWEL.Everything was GREAT !!!!! Sadly no more NCL for us. We have been booking RCCL. My late husband and I had great experiences on every cruise. His last wish was to go on one more cruise. We went to warm Caribbean in December and he passed in Feb. Unfortunately in 2023 I had to have open heart surgery with complications so have not been back on a cruise since. I miss it and hopefully will be able to cruise again on a smaller RCCL ship only. I love your videos. !!!!
Not accommodating the family of a deceased customer is mean spirited. The bank I worked at would waive certain fees for the family (benificiaries) upon closing an account when the accountholder dies. For example, an account would have an early withdrawal fee and normally we would take that charge if a customer closes the account early, but really you can't help it if you die. We felt like that would send the wrong image about our company. We want the family to continue banking with us, and not be mad at us. Reputation is important.
Found your review of NCL interesting. My husband and I have sailed on many NCL trips. However, I have noticed a decline in the on – board & customer service that is offered. We are leaving for Iceland shortly so will see what kind of experience we have. The cruise line has already cancelled 2 ports
one being Oaqortoq. I love your information and the videos you post !
We just returned from an 11 day Iceland, Greenland, and Canada cruise on NCL Star. This was our 2nd cruise on NCL and our last as our experience was not pleasant. We also experienced 2 cancelled port of calls adding 2 additional sea days to our itinerary. While they updated some areas of the ship our balcony stateroom was outdated and worn. On 3 separate occasions our toilet stopped working causing maintenance to be in our cabin for about an hour each time. As well, our sliding glass door to the balcony leaked when it rained. Apparently this had gone on for quite a while because when I noticed it, I also noticed the mildew on the carpet. They did fix the problem which entailed maintenance cleaning the mildew on day 1 and then coming back on day 2 to replace the damaged carpet.
These were just a few of the numerous issues we had on our journey. My husband and I will stick with Celebrity Cruises.
Lol NCL told us the same “slower” excuse when the NCL Dawn cruise I was on this past March in Africa. Because we had to “conserve fuel” the ship skipped several bucket list stops. Countries missed were Mozambique, Madagascar, The Gambia, Cape Verde and Morocco.
I went on a 7 day W Caribbean Norwegian Joy in Dec 23 with 7 other cousins and had a BLAST had great food and entertainment easy on and off ship at ports our Capt was a veteran and we had a dinner with pics for military. all the staff I encountered was pleasant and professional.
If they are advertising a specific place like that – a once in lifetime bucket list if you will destination, and then don't go, that is just shameful. I would have demanded a refund. Our next cruise is through the P Canal and if they came out and said, "Uh, well, we can't go through…" for whatever reason, again, THAT'S WHAT WE P A I D FOR! There were some ships that had to cancel their Holy Land stops when war broke out. But I hope those folks got some sort of cruise credit or something and those who hadn't sailed should habe been able to get a refund. I know what it says in the conditions of carriage (or whatever cruise lines call it) "Itinerary subj to change at any time without notice. But still….
We took our first NCL cruise last October. It wasn't horrible. It wasn't great. We were supposed to go NCL through P Canal a year earlier with FiL. Unfortunately, we got back from a Bermuda cruise with FiL 3 months before the PC cruise. His health had been deteriorating and 6 weeks before, he passed. I had NO trouble getting all 3 tickets refunded when I sent in the death cert.
Ok…it was a comedy show. If it was too racy, walk out!
Always always take out travel insurance! Go over the insurance with the seller so you know exactly what it covers, especially when you are going into a place like Antarctica!
This guy got kicked off the ship because he had an upside down pineapple on his door…
children were involved. This is very scary.
Definitely stay off Norwegian prices outrageous. You pay extra for everything. brochure lie. Rooms very small patio small. Beds uncomfortable, food horrible, very disappointed.
You're title is unfair. Very closed minded.
I am traveling NCL in a few weeks. My first NCL cruise. However, I am NOT a new cruiser. I have had TERRIBLE communication with NCL. Representatives have NO IDEA what is going on and they outright LIE to customers and blame customers for issues. I've had paid for excursions that NCL suddenly cancelled and NCL blamed me! I found out on social media that they were having computer glitches but nobody at NCL I talked to admitted it. I had to find out on social media. I also had to INSIST they fix THEIR OWN mistake. Then, 30 days before my cruise they changed my departure flight (I PAID EXTRA FOR AIR CHOICE!) with NO explanation! It took me a week and multiple anxiety attacks to find out (ON MY OWN) that they changed my non stop flight to a one stop flight due to the fact that my cruise was arriving at port 15 minutes later than originally scheduled. For 15 minutes, they caused me a LOT of problems – another flight with one stop causes me to arrive at my destination airport a FULL day later, and I had already paid for my seats on the original flight, so I had to pay again and HOPE they refund the first seat payment. I have NO faith in NCL and am worried that something else will go wrong. I am 20 days away from departure and still scared they will mess with me again regarding my flights home. They don't seem to realize that those of us who WORK FOR A LIVING do not have unlimited FUNDS or vacation time to deal with their inept and secretive back door procedures. I feel like I got a bait and switch with the BOGUS Air Choice, since NO ONE told me that even though I paid $256 extra for the flights that WORKED FOR ME, they arbitrarily could change them due to their INEPTNESS at keeping schedule at sea. I did not choose this cruise line! Friends were already booked and asked me to go and since I liked the itinerary I booked myself on the package. I am a Royal Caribbean and Celebrity cruiser, and will NEVER EVER choose NCL. NCL better REALLY IMPRESS me on the ship because so far, I am not a fan.
I think NCL has some of the best food on this ship I love NCL
NCL I enjoyed it. I have been on seven NCL ships. I’ve never had a problem. I love it their ships.
Cancellation policy is what it is. Reasons for cancelling can range from small issues to unfortunate situations. When you book you should be aware of the policy and not expect a refund for any reason. That's what insurance if for. If you choose to not read the policies and then complain because you didn't get a refund, that's on you. Itinerary changes happen a lot on all cruise lines. Sometimes they are last minute. Crew and passenger safety are the number one priority. Of course communication is very important for the guests and it sounds like the crew faltered in this case. However, we had a very similar issue happen to us on Royal Caribbean. As far as the comedian… it's late night comedy. Walk out if you don't like what is being said. Complain to the customer service crew. Word will get back to the booking staff and that comedian will not return. I've been on Carnival (terrible cruise line), Royal, NCL, Paul Gauguin and Viking. Aside from Carnival, they are all great cruise lines and I would not let these three stories keep me from going on NCL again. They do a great job overall.
I feel for the family of the deceased person but those are the terms. Travel protection is important. And no cruise line that I know will give back the money.
We are looking for a Mediterranean cruise which cruise line would you suggest? I was looking at Norwegian???
