I have a better one. Most coffee shops use the same type of white plastic lid on cups. Those lids are bpa plastic. Even tells you on the lid (the number inside the recycle triangle). And then we drink hot liquids from it. Or the new stupid trend of "silk" tea bags which are just plastic and not silk.
At .10.: As my Mother used to say, 'An ounce of pretense is worth a pound of manure.'
I would like to see more research done. I grow Sangiovese- organically- a red grape, high in Quercetin ferment it double dry ( no residual sugar) and have many customers tell me mine is the only red they can drink – I actually get headaches from white wines with residual sugars- and cheap wine ( with preservatives and probably pesticides in the vineyard).
Don’t rule out all red wine as that is the one that has heart benefits in moderation- the key 🍷
yes, I get hangover type of feeling from even 1 glass of red wine. I thought it is because of the sulfites in the wine. How do the sulfites in the wine react with the quercitin and acetaldehyde? I'm interested in knowing this…
I absolutely love red wine but it has never loved me! I always get a headache and sometimes a migraine no matter what but haven't experimented with white wine because it isn't my favorite. I have found that if I drink red wine from Spain and some from Italy, the headaches do not occur! Something curious….
It would be super cool if this video and research included which types of red wine are most likely to result in this headache effect. I have personally found it to be not as prevalent in Pinot Noir. Whereas Cabernet Sauvignon are iffier for me so I tend to stay away.
Not buying it. I take quercetin supplement before I eat and drink and have no difference from when i didn't take the supplement. I can drink 3 glasses and barely feel relaxed. Still think it is another polyphenol (anthocyanin) or histamines (biogenic amines). Just read study and it was not done with people, just a test tube type of research. Need to do as suggested with people using vodka and quercetin. In addition, I eat lots of onions which are higher amount as well when drinking wine. the supplement is the equivalent of 3 onions, you would think i would show some sign of an issue. Definitely need more research.
love the sophia petrillo reference
Pretty cool that somebody finally attempts to explain it without the standard BS about sulfites and histamines
I love red wine, for me it doesn't leave a hangover. What I do have noticed is that the wine-drunk feel is different from other alcoholic drinks. Anyone relates?
