Taxed to death and all we get is mandatory military service for the rich.
My family were Lords and then Dukes 😊😅
Forget the music unless it reflects the period. Summer is icum in perhaps ?
The communal life is proof that the Cold War was a plot to throw developing countries into chaos. The aggression of these evil countries have halted and delayed the development of socialist countries that needed to progress to industrialization. The wealth and luxury we enjoy comes from the unnecessary suffering of billions of ppl.

He says "Britain" early on when he means "England". But that is typical of English people who seem to perceive Scotland as a mere extension of a Greater England.
A serf and a villain are the same thing.
Cool documentary…
Yep white peoples in there own country
We have been fed deceptions by the Rothschilds and atheists, in order to hate our heritage.
If Iggy Pop and Tom Petty had a kid – that’s the thumbnail guy.
So I take it the monty python "Constitutional Peasants Scene" (under that name on youtube) isn't strictly an accurate depiction…
This is the GOP solution to high rents
I'm interested, but the music is just too loud.
Cheer~~~an agricultural laborer bound under the feudal system to work on their lord's estate.😊
I wonder if peasants in the warmer latitudes faired better. Like, was it better to live in France, Italy, or Spain at the time?
WEF’s wet dream right here.
It’s giving Harry Potter
Serfs weren't technically slaves, which are the property of their master and thus go where he goes. Instead, serfs were tied to the land, and if a manor changed hands, the serfs did not pack up and leave with their former lord. Rather, they were now the serfs of their new lord. In this sense, serfs were more akin to a kind of natural resource than a form of personal property. Of course, this distinction is purely academic and would not have made much difference from the serfs' perspective.
That’s where we are headed.
Yes my Queen 😊
Was it possible to find a stupider music? Anybody who knows a little of History associates Lully with Louis XIV of France, not Middle-Age England.
Lowry has been proven wrong frequently. By the early14th century, any notion of the guilds having a strong religious connection to the Church is ridiculous!!! By the late 1300s becoming an apprentice in many of the guilds was an invitation to learning to read and write as well as a life within the church or abbey or monastery!!!
We know that the total taxes or payments due to the lord were 10-20% of the total crops yielded. The majority of lords realized that in order to keep their serfs and peasants alive, a lord not only had to be fair to them and not ever overtax them lest they die of starvation or other issues. Medieval lords also did NOT ask his serfs to fight on his behalf but his freeman / yeoman and up. If the serfs had to defend the lord there'd be no food and no income from sold excess. Different serfs had different quantities of land based upon what the serfs and his family could work and what they might need for there own needs after the lords taxes. Freeman were asked to purchase armor, usually a gambling, a helmet, and a spear based upon his income. If he did make the required minimum then often the Church would supplement this armor and weapons. While the population of England is believed to have reached just over 5 million by the early 1300s, by 1365 it had dropped to just 2 million due to The Black Death. Much of this information is questionable but overall 40-55% is valid.
that beardless guy looks like he was a medieval serf transported to 21st century
When we imagine ourselves in the past, we often like to think of ourselves in fancy gowns on throwns. Realistically, id be scrubbing bed pans and getting whipped 😒
Serf's were treated badly, slaves in all but name.
falling asleep to this at 2 am on a Sunday night when i have to be in the office in 6 hours all because of Kingdom Come Deliverance lol
Slavery
clearly an establishment point of view
It takes 55 min to describe a serf?
Not the channel's fault of course but an intolerable number of adverts making good videos unwatchable..
The sheer greed of Alphabet is killing Youtube.
There's an example from the Village Rolls in 1313…
Do ya need a guitar player ?
Sharecroppers and sub sharecroppers 2:22
That's the plan
i can tell whats its like we have virtual serfdom today, we work to pay bills and thats it. the crux
Why is the guy in the thumbnail so drained and sad 😢😢😢😢😢
The rich and poor ,have ,have nots, powerful and disempowered,…no change there then …😊
History repeats itself watt tyler betrayed by the establishment geremy corbyn ,betrayed likewise..?😊
Uriah Faber, former Medieval serf
Everyone sounds like Richard Dawkins to me in this documentary.
Wish I could go back to the feudal age for couple of days just experience it
I have long been familiar with the guilds' functions as trade unions and/or business associations, but that they were primarily religious organizations is new to me. In retrospect, it shouldn't have been surprising since everything in the Middle Ages was connected to the Church in some way.
That bloke (at 3:27) from Keble College looks as if there was a mobster with a bat in his hand standing off camera making sure that he stays on script.
24:51 the random turkey gobble threw me off forba sec lol
Now huge corporations are taking back to these times again. They control governments & the people are too stupid to realise what's happening.
During the black death how many of the religious died because of their responsibility of caring for the sick
